Gypsum

Gypsum is a naturally occurring mineral often used as a fertiliser, to supply sulphur (S) and/or calcium (Ca); or as an effective soil conditioner.

Gypsum can help improve soil aeration, reduce compaction, and support root development, particularly in clay-heavy soils. Better soil drainage allows your plant or crop to breath, while the sulphur and calcium enable other nutrients to be taken up by the plant.

Gypsum may also be used to improve the infiltration rate of low conductivity irrigation water, and for water clarification.

We offer two options in Gypsum, and both can be spread as a straight product or blended with a mix of lime to your requirements. Gypsum can be spread on worked soil or broadcast over established plants.
